Pupils across the whole school danced their socks off to help raise funds for an Eco-Area in school. We are trying to raise money to purchase a greenhouse, garden tools, vegetable planters, wheelbarrows, water butts, compost bark and hopefully chickens and a chicken run. The Eco team are very excited about this project and can't wait to get started!

To celebrate World Book Week, Mrs Varley and Mrs Mynett held a fun family quiz based around our favourite childrens books. Children, parents and grandparents enjoyed a number of rounds including pictures, songs, quotes, general knowledge and a slightly chaotic "Where's Wally?" round. Well done to the Rossalls who were crowned overall winners!

We celebrated World Book Week this week! Children enjoyed story telling sessions, special assemblies, writing and art competitions and, of course, dressing up as their favourite book characters or words! What a brilliant way to celebrate Bessacarr's love of reading!

Children across school showed off the skills they have learnt during their Rocky Steady lessons this term. Each band performed a different song with different children on drums, guitar, keyboard and vocals. The children performed for parents and their classmates and were very proud of how far they have come so far. Well done to all who participated!

Today, KS2 held a Christmas Fair to sell their enterprise projects. Children made and priced products and will get to keep any profits made to buy something for their class. Year 3 made delicious, festive biscuits, Year 4 made Christmas baking kits and Christmas crackers, Year 5 made a variety of beautiful Christmas decorations and Year 6 made wax melts and Christmas cards.
